This happened to me with the Madoka movies i think. It's possible some movies with multiple parts (like a trilogy) can only be matched correctly when put under one entry.

Just put the folder with the movie in your anime library and the scanner will pick it up. And this is how it'll show up in a single large anime library. It has a show, a movie that's the conclusion of the show, and 3 separate movies that retell the story in a different way. Also more organized if a season is multi-cour.Įxample: Neon Genesis Evangelion. I like organizing my folders this way the best. One entry with multiple seasons (like western tv): Simply have one main folder and order everything within season 1, season 2, season 3 and so forth.Have a separate entry for both seasons: Simply name one folder fate/zero and the other fate/zero II or something similar.Naming is done just like anything else in Plex. Not much actually has to be done here and if you download anime it probably already is using the correct naming conventions. On my PC it's C:\Users\Name\AppData\Local\Plex Media Server. Make sure to place everything in those zipfiles where it needs to.

In that link you'll find more information on how it works and how to do it but in this guide i'll try to explain it in a more organized and simple way. Shows that have hundreds of episodes also work correctly obviously.Įdit: Scanner has been updated and so has the guideĭownload this scanner and this metadata agent (direct links to zips here and here)and place them in the correct folders. I always found it quite annoying to have to split movies apart from the anime because i like having everything organized under a single library and folder structure. This will make sure you need only one library which combines movies and series together and also get the correct metadata for it. This will be a guide to making your Plex Anime library look like this using a custom agent and a custom scanner.
